The Band

Glad to be back from our break, the Illegal Eagles are pleased to announce our new line-up and unveil an exciting new show format.
Jeff Green, who has been sorely missed by us all since his departure for a new life in Ireland, has returned to the Illegal Eagles! Following huge success with his solo album "Jessica" Jeff has found that he misses touring and can't wait to get back out on the road with us.
Keith Atack, fresh from his guitar work at Abbey Road, recording for the new Ricky Gervais movie "Cemetary Junction" will, as ever, be stage right providing his unfathomable expertise on slide and lead guitar, as well as keyboards and vocals.
They are joined by our brand new vocalist/ multi-instrumentalist Garreth Hicklin whose silky voice will be at the forefront of the new show.
On bass guitar is our old chum Darin Murphy who will be familiar to many of our fans, having played on several previous Illegals' tours. He has been performing with Phil since the 80s.
Phil Aldridge brings up the rear on drums and vocals.
The Shows
On 28th June we got up close and personal with over 1200 ecstatic fans! This was our first show with the new line-up at the stunning Kings Theatre in Glasgow. In conjunction with Smooth FM radio station, we presented a chronological history of The Eagles Story complete with a new video projection concept created by our friend Brad Snelling aided and abetted by our ol' faithful lighting designer, Ian Holmes. You can get a flavour of that evening by clicking on the tab and watching the you-tube video filmed from the gallery by one of our fans! (Illegal Eagles Classic 2010)
Photos from the show are viewable on the Gallery button.
Also, we've been doing some new recordings - but with a difference! So many tribute bands just churn out the same old songs using computer generated sounds for drums, strings etc. This is not us! Click on the tab and you can watch the first string quartet recording session - filmed just as it happened at our own Tabby Road Studios. (Illegal Eagles Desperado Strings Recording) As soon as we've completed the recording you can here it right here in glorious technicolour - meanwhile we thought you'd appreciate a quick peek behind the scenes!
Our next tour proper begins in October with our new promoter Nick Taggart of Nett Uk, kicking off in Southampton's Mayflower Theatre, one of the country's most prestigious venues - and one of our favourite places to perform.
For booking other shows on the tour, please see our Gigs page.
